so its 23.47 and the sun is making it's final dissent into the ocean. I am on a train which is on a ferry and will be for the next 3 hours or so. it's quite nice as there is wifi and space to roam around and when I choose I have a little bunk to sleep on. we arrive to Berlin around 06.10. (I'm just gonna use 24hrs time bc it's easier)
so yes much has happened in the 2 months since my last post and many photos will continue to be mia until I arrive back in states. so quickly, the end of my India experience was incredible. i didn't think it was possible to cover that much ground in so little time. For me the highlights included rishikesh and McLeod ganj (we saw the Dali lama! and hiked into the Himalayas!) we also travelled 40hrs at once,seen some pretty questionable accommodation, ate incredible food, made some friends with the locals did some yoga and had a pretty good time (usually) alas- April 30th we had to part ways and I headed out to Bangkok while my friends were off to Qatar!
Thailand...A whole new game! luxury by my new standards...ppl were ordering drinks with ice!!! So I did the whole kosarn rd thing for a couple days. super backpacker friendly, lclose to many temples, met with a friend from the ashram, then happily headed down to Khan beach when I was over it. this is what I will think of when I think of my Thailand experience. 5km from the 1 road town, i spent close to 3 weeks learning Chinese acupuncture massage with my very interesting teacher Jet Lie. after which I went climbing in krabi and then took a rally comfortable 20 hrs trip to Singapore to meet with another friend.
and after a really long weekend including an overnight in BKK and another in Moscow airport I finally made it to Stockholm Sweden. the western world. a place where people assume I speak the language rather than the other way around. I'm still getting used to it. but it's been pretty good so far I've seen the 3 major cities in Sweden and went down to Tivoli haven in Copenhagen! and that just about brings us up to date. perhaps a bit over simplified but a pretty good overview!
